Nordic indicators for Vision 2030

Release

In August 2019, the Nordic prime ministers adopted a new vision for Nordic co-operation which aims to make the Nordic Region the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030.

A new report from the Nordic Council of Ministers takes stock of the work on the sustainable transition – which seems more relevant than ever now, after a summer of extreme weather events. The report shows that the green transition remains the greatest challenge in the Nordic Region, while parameters such as social sustainability and competitiveness are edging closer to the target.

The report focuses on three strategic areas: A green Nordic region, a competitive Nordic region and a sustainable Nordic region. Fifteen indicators have been chosen to describe each area. All indicators can be found in the Nordic Statistics Database, under Nordic indicators Vision 2030.
